Vaselin is often used to protect and repair the skin. Moms love it for preventing diaper rash, but it can also be used to protect minor cuts and burns, to soften skin, and to lock in moisture in dry, cracked skin.
Many people use Vaseline for different kind of things in our society today.
In this post, we will be sharing how you can make Vaseline at home, kindly share this to your friends, endeavor to drop your comments too, I love feedbacks.
- Paraffin Oil
- Petroleum jelly( looks like Vaseline)
- Candle wax
- Perfume ( Citrolina, Banana, Strawberry etc)
- Mold/Vaseline Container
- Gas Cooker
- Metal bowl
- Metal Spoon
- Your Brand Name Sticker
The steps to follow are listed below
lit up the gas cooker and put the metal bowl on fire
Petroleum jelly is sold in kilogram depending in the volume of the vaseline you want to produce, petroleum jelly takes up to 80% of vaseline i.e it is the major ingredient of vaseline.
Pour the petroleum jelly into the metal bowl on the lit Gas cooker and allow it to melt.
Note: For every kilogram of petroleum jelly you pour half of paraffin oil to it. for example
I want to make vaseline with 2 kilogram of petroleum jelly i will use 1 litre of paraffin oil
Add Paraffin Oil to the melted Petroleum Jelly and stir very well with the Spoon till it (Paraffin oil) dissolves in it.
Add candle wax to the melted petroleum jelly and paraffin oil. Note that while adding the candle wax to the solution don’t forget to check for the texture, because the candle wax is responsible for the hardness of the vaseline.
To check for the texture you can pour little amount of the solution (Paraffin oil + petroleum jelly + candle wax) into water and allow it to cool. the more you want it to be hard is the more you add your candle wax.
Step 5: Adding the perfume
Don’t add the perfume to the solution while it’s still on fire, because the perfume is highly flammable.
Add the perfume to the solution once you put off the gas, depending on how you want it to smell. add to your desired taste.
Step 6: Packaging
Pour your solution (Liquid vaseline) into the packaging container and put in a cool and well ventilated place for a Day.
By the next day your vaseline will now look like vaseline.
Package it in some containers, put your brand name (Sticker) and boom your vaseline is ready for sale. Thanks.
