Go get your chicken pieces. Season your chicken with your ground pepper, garlic powder and salt. Get your flour; You need to make sure that the amount of chicken you have is perfect for the amount of flour that you get. What’s interesting is that you get to season your flour with Paprika which is great in browning the chicken.
Oh! this is getting more interesting because next up, we will be needing our butter milk. Dip your chicken pieces in buttermilk. Then, few at a time, roll your chicken pieces in the seasoned flour until it is fully coated with flour. Place the coated chicken in a tray and let it sit until the flour is paste-like on the chicken. You need to be very particular about this paste-like appearance. It is highly important.
Fill a large pan with vegetable oil. Heat until extremely hot. Go get your chicken pieces and put in as many chicken pieces your pan can hold. While your chicken is in the pan, make sure both sides of it are brown by turning each piece of chicken on both sides in the hot oil.
When it finally has that brown look, reduce the heat, cover the pan and let it fry for about 25 minutes. I need you to understand that in order to get it crispy; you are gonna raise the heat again after 25 minutes of low heat. Raise the heat and continue to fry until crispy.
Finally guys, drain the fried chicken on paper towels and you go ahead and enjoy your delicious chicken.
